CLOVERPORT CLINIC

The Cloverport Health Clinic is located at 209 Elm Street in Cloverport, KY, a small scenic community twelve miles west of Hardinsburg.

As a branch of Breckinridge Health, Inc., the clinic provides health care to citizens in Cloverport and the surrounding area. Dr. Surya Patel is the Medical Director and is at the clinic every Wednesday morning. Mandy Butler, Nurse Practitioner, works full-time there and Linda Neff, Nurse Practitioner, is there part-time.

The Clinic staff can provide care for acute illnesses and chronic health problems. Immunizations, lab work, EKG's, X-rays are available. Lacerations (cuts) can be sutured. Small skin lesions can be removed. Referrals can be made to specialists and/or a hospital if appropriate.

Linda Bolin greets the client at the receptionist window as he or she comes into the Clinic. Registering is done efficiently on the computer, Monzella Smith, LPN or Jane Matthews, MA and X-ray technician, will call the clients back to the exam room and help them to feel at home.

On Wednesday, Monica Ball, MA, Respiratory Therapists, joins the Clinic Staff. Mandy, Linda or Dr. Patel explore the health problems of the patient and discuss possible solutions. The staff cares a lot about the Clinic patients and wants to help them with their health problems.

The office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On Thursdays it is open 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Appointments can be made by calling (270) 788-3000. Walk-ins are welcome but may require a longer wait.

Many of the insurance companies cover office visits at the Clinic and we are also a Passport Provider. The co-pay noted on most of the insurance cards is expected with each visit. Sliding Scale or Indigent care can be considered if the patient is eligible. Ms. Monzella Smith, LPN, is coordinator of the Patient Assistant Program and can help many people find ways of affording medications that are beyond their financial situation if they are patients of the Cloverport Health Clinic. 
After hours, patients who need care can call (270) 756-7000 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, KY. An ambulance can be summoned by calling the Dispatch at (270) 756-6266.

Mandy Butler, ARNP graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2003 with a Master of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner. She grew up in Irvington and lives in Breckinridge County with her husband and son. She has been employed at the Cloverport Clinic since graduating in 2003.

All clinics with the exception of the Urology Clinic are held in the Outpatient Clinic Building at 203A Fairgrounds Road, directly behind the hospital. The Urology Clinic is held at the hospital in the Emergency Services area.
